Indoor Climbing Course 2027
The practical component of the course explains the methodological and didactic approaches to safe climbing and emphasizes mastering a wide range of activities applicable to teaching climbing. The theoretical component introduces participants to current trends in climbing equipment and the evolution of sport climbing. It also covers the design of climbing programs and their significance for various age groups.
Graduates of the course—comprising artificial wall climbing, rock climbing, and the coaching course (general coaching fundamentals plus specialization)—will obtain a "Sport Climbing Coach" license, which qualifies them to apply for a trade license.
Students of FTVS UK can earn 3 credits for the "Sport Climbing and Mountaineering" course upon completion. This provision does not apply to students specializing in Outdoor Education, for whom this course is part of the mandatory core curriculum; consequently, completion of the course cannot be recognized for credit in their case.
