Stress Management Course
The course focuses on understanding the physiological, psychological, and behavioural aspects of stress and on developing practical skills for effective stress management. The theoretical part introduces the mechanisms of the stress response, neuroendocrine regulation (HPA axis, sympatho–adrenal system), and the effects of chronic stress on health, performance, and recovery. The practical component includes training in relaxation and breathing techniques, attention control, and body-oriented exercises that support the regulation of stress responses and restoration of physiological balance.
Participants are also offered an optional non-invasive measurement of salivary cortisol levels as a bonus feature. This individual assessment provides personal feedback on physiological stress reactivity and illustrates the link between theoretical knowledge and biological indicators. The procedure is not part of formal course instruction.
The course emphasises self-reflection, proactive health management, and the practical application of knowledge in both personal and professional contexts.
