Health PE in Practice
The course presents Health-Oriented Physical Education as a modern approach to movement focused on promoting health, improving movement quality, and preventing functional musculoskeletal disorders. It builds on traditional principles of Health-Oriented Physical Education while integrating current knowledge from functional training, motor learning, breathing techniques, coordination, stability, and nervous system regulation.
The course is primarily practice-based. Participants will develop a repertoire of exercises targeting mobility, stability, posture, breathing patterns, relaxation, and movement coordination, and will learn the principles of applying these exercises in educational, coaching, and health-oriented physical activity settings.
