Skitouring course
The course focuses on movement in winter terrain, familiarization with equipment and gear used in snow-covered mountains, basic movement on ski touring skis, ascents and descents in varied terrain, hazard assessment, orientation and terrain reconnaissance, use of a compass and GPS, information about avalanches and avalanche risks, procedures after being caught in an avalanche, work with avalanche transceivers, principles and rules of tour leadership, and first aid during mountain tours.
